Marcus Jones has participated at both state and local levels of government. His past positions include Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Finance & Administration for the City of Richmond, the Director of Budget and Grants Management for the City of Norfolk, and Deputy Secretary of Finance for Commonwealth of Virginia. Mr. Jones assumed the position of City Manager for the City of Norfolk in February of this year. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from James Madison University and earned his Masters in Public Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Mr Jones’s previous successes transforming local government into results-oriented organizations, and his current position as City Manager of City of Norfolk, provide a well-informed perspective regarding the need for and the how to of promoting ethics and integrity in public administration.
